I’m sure that when she is ready, she will identify the issue and work on solving it. She does have issues, I am sure she is aware of this I’m no expert but maybe some form of anxiety. Clearly this girl is very insecure so insecure that she does not do the lovely, warm sensation inducing good night ritual. TLDR, FB can make it really hard for some people to trust their partners. And I am also saying that it is normal for people to have doubts because of this. I am saying it is true, FB last active time is wrong. It is easy to say “trust”, but sometimes a situation can put you in a place where all the evidence is going on a different way and you (anyone) end up feeling like an idiot/cheated after saying you trust them, but you are not really convinced. Trust went way down, and a breakup was considered.Īfter finding out online that this is FB BS, I had indeed to trust the user and let it go. I mean, for 10-15mins maybe, but I didn’t believe it could be wrong for hours. It was after this call that the time was swinging between 1m and longer minutes and then back to 1m. I called the user on the phone at first, and the user told me he/she was actually sleeping. And this situation repeated itself for HOURS. Then the time changed to 2mins, then 3m and then it got back to 1m again.

I saw my friend offline with a last active time of 1m for hours. We were supposed to talk abt this but it’s hard to bring all this up cause I sound so paranoid! HELP! He’s super nice & dnt really hve a reason to doubt I guess except my own fears & insecurities. So…is he lying?! He can talk to others but not me?! I sound ridiculous, childish, etc I’m sure…ugh. So…makes me wonder who the hell he’s been talking to ALL day! I finally messaged him & he called me & said he’s not feeling well & been sick. It shows he’s been active all frickin day off & on but not w/me. Like today I hvnt heard from him all day & been waiting but nothing. It is causing me severe anxiety! I know it’s crazy & wrong. I just found out abt this ‘active now’ feature. I HATE FB! Dnt trust it at all! I’m not tech savvy at all & dnt hve a computer. We’ve never met as we live in different states. UPDATE: Google Hangouts has added presence info in a recent update, so we’ll probably be seeing this issue with it also:Īhhh…I’m going CRAZY! I’ve been burnt SO many times! I’m hvg major trust & fear issues abt this ‘active now’ messenger stuff! Met a REALLY nice guy & we’ve been talking by pbone & text for almost 3mos.
However, for now, just bear in mind that Messenger presence may just be flat out wrong, and don’t take people to task over it. Of course, with no official word, the above are just shots in the dark.
Except when what it shows is wrong, which appears to be happening a lot. One of the nice features of Facebook Messenger is that is shows when people are available or not. Also a faster way to wrongly conclude people are lying to you
